Carsilog is more than a car meet; it’s a fusion of passion, and community. Carsilog is a non-profit 501C3 that promotes and supports local small businesses while giving back to other charities.
Born from the love of cars and coffee, the concept evolved from casual car meets morphing into morning cruises to nearby breakfast spots. It was during these outings that the idea of combining “car” with “silog” – the Filipino breakfast staple of fried rice and egg – was born. Hence, Cruise, Chow and Connect.
The philosophy behind Carsilog is simple yet profound: rice symbolizes sustenance and egg represents the beginning of life, together creating a perfect harmony on the plate. This notion reflects the essence of Carsilog – a meeting place where enthusiasts gather to enjoy not only delicious food but also the camaraderie of like-minded individuals.
What started as informal gatherings soon gained momentum, attracting a growing number of enthusiasts every weekend. As the breakfast meets gained popularity, local restaurant owners took notice, welcoming the newfound traction Carsilog brought to their establishments. Encouraged by this response, the Carsilog community realized they had an opportunity to make a tangible impact.
Driven by a desire to support small businesses and their workers, Carsilog seized the chance to assist these establishments in thriving not just on weekends but throughout the week. By fostering partnerships and providing opportunities, Carsilog became more than a car movement – it became a catalyst for growth and empowerment within local communities.
Through their commitment to collaboration and community, Carsilog continues to bring a fresh perspective and a renewed sense of vitality to small businesses, offering them a new lease on life – Just like the egg and rice, we bring a new birth of opportunity and sustenance.
